Hillside House Self Catering Apartments | Location
Ballinamuck is a small town situated in the Midlands of Ireland within the County of Longford. The town which takes its name from the Irish, 'Béal Átha na Muc meaning "mouth of the pig's ford" has a population of approximately 1,760 and enjoys the facilities of a small supermaket and two public houses. The town is best known in historical terms for the battle which took place here in 1798 and a visitors centre is located within the town which retraces the steps of the famous battle.
Today, Ballinamuck is a more peaceful place and enjoys the type of tranquility which is hard to find in todays hectic world. The self catering apartments are situated within a five minute walk of all local amenities, so if a glass of the dark stuff is your tipple - then the journey home is no burden. Fine home cooked evening meals are available from Dillons Bar & Restaurent in the village, real food for healthy appetites. As the name suggests, our apartments are situated on a hill which gives a lovely view over the previaling Irish countryside. The location is truely magical.
